Off Wix, onto something built for the job

Durham County ABC was running its public presence on a Wix site that couldn’t keep up with how people actually shop — finding products, locating stores, and tracking what’s in stock across the county.

The goal: replace it with a custom platform engineered for search, inventory, and the kind of demand spikes that come with limited drops.

The platform is built around the way customers move through the system — from “is it in stock?” to “where can I get it?”

• Drop Zone hub with a lottery system for limited releases
• Automated inventory monitoring agent that tracks stock changes

The platform is being built out now — production-grade, fully tested, and engineered to replace the existing site end to end.
